How to Update Your Estate Plan or Request a Review Meeting

Picture
Most issues and updates regarding your estate plan can be resolved or completed without an in-person meeting.  In many cases, I can review your need, respond to it—and if needed—send revised documents to you quickly.  My goal is to make the process simple, efficient, and responsive, so you can get the clarity and resolution you need without waiting weeks for a scheduled meeting.

To proceed, simply click the Request Support button (or email me directly).  You'll be taken to a short form where you can tell me what prompted you to reach out.  I will personally look over your request and reply with guidance regarding the next steps.

Common situations that usually do not require a scheduled meeting:
  • To review how to proceed after the death of a spouse
  • To change beneficiaries in your will or trust
  • To add or remove a personal representative, trustee, or agent
  • To update your contact information
  • To add a new property to your trust
  • To remove a property from your trust
  • To add a specific gift to your will or trust
  • To update financial information
  • To ask a question about your estate plan
  • To correct an error
If an in-person office meeting is needed, I will let you know and help get it scheduled (minimum fee: $675).  Otherwise, I will assist you by email, phone, or mail and simply bill you for my time on the matter.  My hourly rate for all my time on these matters is $450, billed in small increments so you only pay for the time actually needed.  Most updates take only a short amount of time, and you will save money by not having to schedule an unnecessary meeting.

I typically reserve each Monday morning from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for Open Office Hours.  I dedicate this time to evaluate pending support requests from returning clients, complete light drafting, and clear my inbox.  I am usually available for brief walk-in office visits during these hours.  However, if you intend to drop in, I suggest you send me an email or text message to confirm that I will be in the office that day.

In addition, I set aside dedicated correspondence and triage time for returning‑client support requests on Wednesday and Friday. During these windows, I review and respond to messages from returning clients, with a goal of replying to all inquiries within two business days.

If you’d like an overview of the different ways I support follow‑up matters, you can review my Returning Client Support options here.
